My family owned a small business for two generations. In 1972 when my mother needed mitral valve heart surgery, I quickly learned how important insurance was. First was finding a doctor who, at that time, could perform that surgery, and then what hospitals were equipped for that type of procedure. Insurance gives you options that you might not have otherwise. When I left the corporate world and decided to pursue a career in health insurance I experienced first-hand the challenges of affordable premiums, deductibles, and max-out-of-pocket costs. Insurance is always changing. Today, I am an agency owner and broker contracted with over 50+ companies. I can “shop” the market and find the best option for my clients.
